Seppo Makinen

Seppo Mäkinen has close to 25 years Venture Capital experience in life science, including 14 years as founding / managing partner of Nordic VC Fund, BioFund and 10 years directorship in Finnish investment fund Sitra.  Seppo has been member of board in more than 30 life science companies including Wallac / PerkinElmer, Kone Instruments / ThermoFisher, Pharming NV, Exiqon A/S etc.  Seppo holds MSc ( physical chemistry ) from Jyvaskyla University and has many years expertise in chromatography R&D and business.

 

 

Peter Kaspar

Peter Kaspar has more than 30 years of experience in the Diagnostics and the Life Science industry. He worked for bioMérieux from 2006 to 2011 as Senior Vice President in various assignments, most recently as the Head of the Microbiology Unit and the Director of Global Research and

Development.

In 1980 Peter Kaspar joined Boehringer Mannheim GmbH (which was acquired by Roche in 1998) where - until 2006 - he occupied various leadership positions in R&D, business development and strategy for both the Diagnostics and the Life Science Research business in Germany, Mexico and the US.

From 2005 to 2006, Peter served as Chief of Technology and Business Development at FIND, a Geneva based non-profit organization dedicated to the development of diagnostics.

He has been at the board of several biotech companies in the US and Germany, member of the Global Diagnostics Health Forum of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and served as member of the Board of Directors of the Analytical and Life Science Systems Association (ALSSA) from 1998 to 2002.

Peter Kaspar was trained in Biochemistry and Medicine at the universities of Muenster, Berlin (Germany) and Lille (France).

 

 

 Isaac Bright

Isaac started his career as Market Development Associate for Pacific Consultants.  After various assignments at CIBC World Markets, Isaac served as Corporate Development Associate and Director of Business Development for Medtronic from 2006 to 2009.  In 2009, Isaac joined QuantaLife as VP Corporate Development & Molecular until its successful trade sale to Bio-Rad Laboratories.  Isaac earned his Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from Pepperdine University and his MD at the Stanford University School of Medicine.  He also earned his MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
